Meals and snacks
The eating schedule of someone with Type 1 diabetes should stay consistent. Meals and snacks take place at the same time each day, and they’re never skipped.
You also need to put more careful planning into what you put in your mouth. "People with Type 1 diabetes usually think about everything they eat," says Palmer. Since carbohydrates in foods will increase your blood glucose, you may need to adjust your mealtime insulin accordingly. If the amount of insulin you take is always the same, the amount of carbs in every meal and snack shouldn’t vary, either.
