Radish

Radish: Radish is common vegetable, available easily and known by many people. Radish is root of the plant and can be white, red or pink in color. Radish is full of fiber, and sulfur. Other nutrients are vitamins like vitamin C and vitamin K, B complex vitamins, minerals like calcium, magnesium, selenium, copper and zinc. Radish along with other vegetables are rich in zinc and there fore very beneficial for having healthy hairs.

Sulfur and vitamin C are strong antioxidants, which prevent inflammation, cancer cell formation and aging of cells. Radish boosts immune system. Radish is very useful in liver disorders like jaundice. It is also beneficial in kidney disorders.

Radish is rich in fiber that is why it is good for digestive system .radish also has mush foliate content and effective in foliate deficiency diseases like mouth ulcers, and anemia’s. Radishes also have anti congestive properties and used effectively in nasal congestion, cough and respiratory infections.

It is very interesting to know that radish leaves are more rich in vitamin C, foliate, and calcium and phosphorous so leaves should be used along with roots. Radish is soothing to skin, relives dryness, and gives softness to skin. Radishes are very good for proper digestion because of roughage and water content and relieve constipation and bloating of abdomen.
